Psalm 39:10-12

New International Version

¹⁰ Remove your scourge from me;
    I am overcome by the blow^(A) of your hand.^(B)
11 When you rebuke^(C) and discipline^(D) anyone for their sin,
    you consume^(E) their wealth like a moth^(F)—
    surely everyone is but a breath.^(G)

¹² “Hear my prayer, Lord,
    listen to my cry for help;^(H)
    do not be deaf^(I) to my weeping.^(J)
I dwell with you as a foreigner,^(K)
    a stranger,^(L) as all my ancestors were.^(M)
